  • Our restaurant showcases local artisan décor throughout the rustic dining room and industrial bar highlighting the existing architecture of Sanford’s Historic District.

The kitchen strives to combine America’s culinary history with contemporary, seasonal dishes. Made from scratch and inspired by locally sourced ingredients, our menu interprets classic American fare.

Our food is complimented by a hand-selected wine list from America’s best regions, a rotating line-up of local craft beers and signature-artisanal cocktails made with seasonal ingredients.

The District offers local craft beers, a full wine list, cocktails, and, best of all, a fresh, locally-sourced menu with creative twists on classic dishes. The eatery’s interior pays homage to the historic Sanford’s architecture with a rustic dining room and artisan decor.

The District is the reason why I changed my opinion about tuna. I used to hate tuna. Then I had their tuna tacos and…it was love at first bite. They were perfectly Asian-esque with daikon, sesame seed oil, and wasabi ponzu.
I came here with my girlfriends for my 22nd birthday and, for a starter, we shared the pulled chicken dip, towards which I had to exercise self-control to save room for my entree. I also got to taste my friend’s braised short ribs which were fall-off-the-bone tender and juicy. Lastly, the cheesecake was simple but exceedingly appetizing.
No doubt, the District is for the foodie.
