Leon’s Food Tour: The Breezeway Restaurant & Bar

The Breezeway Restaurant & Bar has been a staple of Historic Downtown Sanford for about five years now, serving up all kinds of great food for lunch and dinner, and often featuring live music. With its breezeway seating area, it’s a popular place for locals to hang out, have a drink, and get some delicious food.

Tops on their menu are the sandwiches, from the ginormous “Sanford Special” to the aptly named “First Street” and the humongous “Mile High” (hint: get the half-sandwich and/or make it a Reuben), you’ll never go away hungry. Their “all day” menu included full dinners such as the Salmon, or the “Big Fish” or a juicy steak, they have something for everyone.

Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, owner/manager Rick and his team are sure to please. You’ll find something for every taste, and don’t forget to try the She-Crab soup, it is outstanding.
