Love Your Shorts Film Festival Offers Summer Rewind Movies

From a dinosaur that visits a hospital to fulfill a child’s Wish Come True, to an imposter gas inspector who takes advantage of elderly customers, to a young girl who stumbles onto an Appalachian Mountains secret that haunts her, there’s a little something for everyone at this year’s Summer Rewind hosted Aug. 21 by Love Your Shorts Film Festival.

Eleven of the most talked-about films from the Love Your Shorts’ 16th annual festival in February will be screened at The Ritz Theater in Sanford. The shorts (listed below) are a sampling of the festival’s categories: Comedy, Drama, Animation, Documentary, Sci-Fi/Horror, International, Florida Flavor and E for Everyone.

In addition to the films from the United States, there also are movies to be shown from Spain, Poland and the Russian Federation.

Films will start at 7 p.m. at the historic 1923 theater at 201 S. Magnolia Ave. Film fans in attendance will have a chance to win two tickets to the 17th annual festival next February.

Tickets for the Summer Rewind are $12 and can be obtained at LoveYourShorts.com or purchased at the door.

Love Your Shorts Film Festival is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by volunteers in Sanford.
