Food That Fuels You

The heart of Ace Cafe Sanford beats in its kitchen, led by Chef Robbie Lamison and our friend Sous Chef Clay Watson, well-known locally as a member of The Legendary JCs, serving up a menu that’s as bold and satisfying as the engines parked out front. Known for their signature Smashburgers and perfectly crispy Fish & Chips, the cafe delivers comfort food with serious flavor. You’ll also find crowd favorites like wings, poutine, chicken and fish sandwiches, and fresh salads for lighter fare. For those looking to go big, the Big Plates section brings hearty classics like Steak Frites, St. Louis Ribs, and Bangers & Mash, all crafted with care and built to satisfy. And yes, there’s even a kids’ menu, making Ace Cafe Sanford a genuine all-ages destination for great food and good times.

Drinks, Bars, and Live Music

Inside, you’ll find two full-service bars pouring everything from local craft beers and refreshing mocktails to signature cocktails that nod to the cafe’s British biker heritage. One standout is the Ton-Up Old Fashioned, a bold twist on the classic, made with 100-proof Jack Daniel’s bottled in 1938. The drink pays tribute to the legendary “Ton-Up Boys”, a youth subculture from 1950s and 60s London who made the original Ace Cafe their unofficial headquarters. These motorcycle rebels, known for their leather jackets, cafe racing, and love of rock ‘n’ roll, chased the “ton,” aiming to hit 100 mph on the open road.

That rebellious spirit lives on at Ace Cafe Sanford, where the atmosphere blends music, motors, and camaraderie. With live music every Friday and Saturday, community meetups, and plenty of room to gather, it’s already becoming the go-to hangout for riders, families, and anyone who appreciates a drink with a little attitude.

Visitors can browse unique merch, gifts, and motorcycle-inspired apparel, making it more than just a restaurant. It’s a lifestyle destination that perfectly extends the Ace’s signature blend of culture, craftsmanship, and community.

Local Ownership, Global Flavor

The Sanford location is the latest project from Sean Kelley, well-known locally as the owner of Henry’s Depot and 4x award-winning The Basin Bar, alongside Steve Glum, a marketing and brand veteran with the likes of Hard Rock Cafe, House of Blues, and Disney’s Pleasure Island, and was also founder of Ace Cafe Orlando, the first U.S. location of the iconic motor-diner.

Together, Kelley and Glum have brought the Ace Cafe’s international legacy to life in a way that feels authentically Sanford: bold, social, and full of character. They’ve blended world-class brand experience with local passion to create a destination that’s unmistakably Ace and unmistakably Sanford.
